A RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT NEEDLE-EXCHANGE PROGRAMS
1: WHEREAS, AIDS and Hepatitis C rates remain high among drug users; and
2: WHEREAS, Needle-exchange programs in other countries have successfully
3: combated these infections by providing sterile needles to drug
4: addicts; and
5: WHEREAS, Needle-exchange programs can serve as a point of contact
6: with couseling services;
7: RESOLVED, That the Student Congress here assembled supports
8: needle-exchange services, both financially and legally.
