A Bill Banning Public Burning of The American Flag
1. Whereas: The number of flag burning incidents have been increasing since the
beginning of
2. the war in Iraq
3. Whereas: The majority of Americans view the burning of the American flag in
protest to be
4. disrespectful, ineffective, and improper.
5. Whereas: All but two American states have a law that prohibits the
desecration of the
6. American flag to some degree.
7. And Whereas: This bill only deny people the right to publicly burn the flag,
8. Be it resolved that this congress pass a bill banning the public burning of
the American flag.
