A RESOLUTION TO ADJUST DRUG EXCLUSIVITY RULES

1: WHEREAS, Americans spend a significant portion of their income on

2: healthcare; and

3: WHEREAS, Generic drugs are significantly cheaper than their

4: prescription counterparts; and

5: WHEREAS, Generic drugs cannot be made until a patent expires; and

6: WHEREAS, International aid efforts are hampered by high drug

7: prices; and

8: WHEREAS, Americans are having trouble affording healthcare;

9: RESOLVED, That the Student Congress here assembled shorten the

10: duration of drug exclusivity.
