Resolution for the Protection of Religious Rights of Office Holders
1: Whereas: the first amendment to the Constitution of the U. S. states,
2: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,
3: Or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” and;
4: Whereas: we are a nation where each person is allowed to practice,
5: Their choice of religion, without cultural or societal interference;
6: Be it resolved by this Congress here assembled,
7: That no man or woman being sworn in to any public office,
8: Shall be limited to swearing an oath,
9: Upon any specific religious book or belief.
